Usage & Installation Tips

1. Disconnect handset from the radio before starting.

2. Inspect the handset enclosure for any cracks or damage.

3. Unscrew the handset housing (usually 4 screws) and separate the front and rear covers—take care not to break internal clips.

4. Disconnect the speaker and microphone plugs from existing cable.

5. Remove old cable connectors from the handset PCB socket carefully.

6. Insert the new cable connectors following correct orientation. Avoid forcing pins.

7. Place any grommets or strain-relief parts back in their proper slots in the housing.

8. Reconnect the speaker and microphone wires.

9. Rejoin handset covers and reinsert screws—do not overtighten to prevent plastic deforming or cracking.
