Furuno AIS FA-50 Class B Transponder

The Furuno AIS FA-50 is a Class B Automatic Identification System (AIS) transponder engineered to enhance maritime safety by facilitating the exchange of navigational and ship data with other AIS-equipped vessels and coastal stations. Fully compliant with international maritime standards, the FA-50 promotes improved situational awareness and collision avoidance, even in congested or low-visibility conditions.

Designed for professional marine environments, the FA-50 combines a reliable VHF transmitter and dual-channel receiver with an integrated GPS module. The internal GPS delivers accurate position, course over ground (COG), and speed over ground (SOG) data, while the transponder communicates vessel information such as MMSI, ship identity, and dynamic status. A separate VHF antenna is required for AIS operation.
